About Red Wine
| Red wine is easily recognized by its deep red color which was the made by
the skin of the red wine grapes. Red wine grape skin contain tannin which
make the key difference between the reds and the whites. The longer the
juice is left in contact with the skins, the higher the tannin content.
Tannin which make the wine heavier than its white counterpart also gives the
wine a tart character. The firmness in the red wine is also due to the
tannin. A high tannin level may cause bitterness which make it difficult to
match with food. |
