About Rose Wine
| Rose wine is recognized by its pink color. Rose wines
are made from red grapes that are left in contact with the skins for
only a few hours that are just long enough to give the pinkish color.
As there is limited skin contact in Rose wines, the tannin level is
low, just like the white wines. Rose wines are usually served chilled
and go well with lighter foods. As the wine has very limited contact
with the skin, rose wine don't have the tannic quality that makes red
wines heavier. |
